Missouri Governor Jay Nixon Recommends Closing Film Office - June 20, 2011

Governor Jay Nixon has recommended cutting funding for the two full time positions in the Missouri Film Office. This effectively closes the office on June 30th after almost 30 years of business. This is a great disappointment given that the past two years were the best ever with both "Up in the Air" and "Winter's Bone" receiving Oscar nominations.
